PMJ AP Blog was founded in 2023 by John Murphy, a seasoned event professional with over 15 years of experience organizing events of all sizes.

John got his start in event planning during college when he began coordinating successful—yet budget-friendly—events for his fraternity. He quickly realized he had a talent for managing all the moving parts of an event while ensuring every guest felt happy and included.

After graduating, John worked for several major catering and event companies, learning from the best in the industry. He helped organize lavish weddings, corporate functions, charity benefits and more. During this time, John saw an opportunity to share his expertise with fellow event planners. That led him to launch PMJ AP Blog as a comprehensive resource for anyone planning events, big or small.
